‘Reviving and thus saving an elderly woman with a heart attack’, ‘Assisting your own child in a choking situation’, or ‘Providing first aid to a friend’. How many more reasons do you need to take a course? No rational person would say ‘No’ to such a course based on rational grounds. But we humans are not that rational. A large part of our decisions are made on irrational grounds.

This is evident since less than 10% of the Dutch population holds a first aid certificate.
Hence, a social media campaign based on testimonials to motivate and emphasize the importance of a first aid course with the Red Cross. Clearly communicate the duration of the course compared to other (pointless) activities. So few hours, and so much impact. Because what is 4 hours, really?
